Pinion Gears?
Im making the jump to brushless motors and am hearing Losi or robinson are the best to go with.
Hudy makes a set as well but what im wondering is this...
How high of a pinion gear should i have? I have seen people putting up to 35 tooth pinion on thier trucks.. and i have the test set from robinson but i was told they arent good for extended racing..
any suggestions?

it all depends on the finial gear ratio of your truck. what does the owners manual say about adding a brushless motor?

Re: Pinion Gears?
Just remeber that brushless motor are low RPM motors and if you gear to tall you will have heat issues. These motor have tons of torque and it easy to over gear. As to the brand of pinions Roberison has good stuff but Aswer R/C make a great Mod 1 pinion line up.

The owners manual i have doesnt say anything about brushless.. at least i dont think it does.. been a while since i looked at it..
I have never heard of mod 1 pinion.. i se it alot on the store websites .. but do i actually need them? or would regular 48p do me fine?

Its a heavy duty pinion i run them you need a 5mm to 3mm adapter to run them. Its a good setup.
