Painting: Tips & Tricks Empty Removing paint from RC Bodies

Post  Bear Mon Feb 15, 2010 6:47 pm

From Bear: "Don't use acetone, it'll turn the body into a potatoe chip"

From DA1378: "Dot 3 brake fluid is what your looking for.
Will require some soaking, and quite possible a little rubbing.
I'd soak it a while, give a test rub, see how it does and go from there."

From P187420: "they actually make a paint remover for them bodies i know you can get it at hobbytown in knoxville seen it yesterday its like $6 i believe "

From DigUpSkulls: "I have used " Pine Sol " to remove paint on my model car's, I'm not sure if it would work on rc body's." "I know brake fluid is a good chrome remover on model cars"

From Beaven: "sometimes i use carb cleaner on a rag to remove graffity from the vans we work on,just dont spray it directly on the body, also dont forget about wd40,thank stuff never ceases to amaze me............. "
