Don B. Claymore5150 - Jefferson City, TN
Hey gang! Here's my intro...
Don B. Age 35 until the end of June.
GreenEVIL native, currently residing in Jefferson City, TN.
I've been wrenching r/c cars since I was a kid in the mid 80's, notice I said "wrenching"...most of that is due to my wicked-awesome NON-driving skills!
Anyhow, in all of the years that I've been dabbling in r/c, I've never actually raced. I guess I've always been a hardcore basher. It's time to change my ways and give racing a try.
Took me quite a while to find somewhere relatively close by, but after searching a lot, here I am.
I currently run a 1/8 Raze nitro buggy, but I have multiple "classic" projects in the garage that I'm working on...
I really want to get a Short Course truck at some point soon. Seems like that is one of the most popular classes to race in these days. I'll have to start saving my pennies!
I hope to get an opportunity to slide over to Newport soon for some fun racing and to meet some new friends in the process.

Glad to have ya on board. You'll have to come to the club meet in July. In the meantime, I'm home most days, all day, if you want to come out and try out the track.

Welcome to the Boards . . . . . as Scotty said you are close to http://www.harmonyhillsrc.com/ for a nice large track that races 1/8 nitro buggy & truggy as well as a Mod Sct class. HobbyTown Johnson City also has a small outdoor track behind their store, they are not racing there but for $5 you can get all the track practice you want close to home. Looking forward to having another racer @ Run-A-Muck also . . .

Thanks! Jonesboro and the Tri-Cities wouldn't be too bad if I'm in Greeneville visiting the parental unit, but with the wife and kids in Jefferson City, I don't think I could sneak away to race that far away very often. Run-A-Muck will probably be considered my home track due to the much shorter distance involved.
If I get a chance to race once or twice a month, I'll be tickled to death.
